The son of Martin Sheen and elder brother of Charlie Sheen, who took the original family surname, he began appearing on TV directly out of high school. He was 20 when he made his big-screen debut and established himself in the 80's through a variety of types of disaffected young men. He has also tried his hand at directing and scriptwriting. Was married to Paula Abdul.
