Actress. Born on February 2, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of an oil contractor, educated at University of Texas. Toothsome, radiant blonde beauty who became a popular pinup in the 70s through numerous TV commercials and magazine covers. She reached a peak of adulation during her one-season (1976-1977) stint as co-star of the TV series "Charlie's Angels", which she precipitated vast merchandising of Farrah dolls, T-shirts, wigs, and posters. She demonstrated limited acting ability in subsequent few leads in feature films. But in the 80s she surprised critics with capable performance in the off-Broadway play "Extremities" (1983) and the TV movie "The Burning Bed" (1984). During her marriage to actor Lee Majors in the late 70s she was billed as Farrah Fawcett-Majors.
In 1995, Fawcett appeared in a partially nude pictorial in the 1995 Christmas issue of Playboy, a layout that proved that, as a woman of a certain age, she's still got it! Fawcett subsequently posed for a June, 1997 pictorial that featured her painting works of art in the nude--using her body as a brush. The fifty-year-old actress can still turn it on and will likely continue to do so in her upcoming projects, The Lovemaster and Bad Girl. Fawcett will also play a preacher's wife to Robert Duvall's preacher in Duvall's The Apostle. She and her long-time live-in companion Ryan O'Neal parted ways in 1997.
