Woody Harrelson's campaign to legalize hemp ran into trouble when parents at a school where he was scheduled to speak on the subject kept their kids at home. "When he leaves the building my daughter can walk back in", said one enraged parent.

On August 13th, lawyers for Woody Harrelson (36) announced an agreement for him to pay $1,000 fine and spend 25 hours teaching school children about the environment to settle charges stemming from a demonstration last November. Harrelson and eight others scaled San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge to protest logging at Headwaters Forest, an ancient redwood grove in Northern California.
