Exactly how do you propose to stop Saddam from using his terror tactics on us and on other countries? How do you propose to stop the terrorism? How do propose we stop another 9-11?
Our fathers fought hard and many died for our freedom. I certainly don't want to lose that freedom, nor do I think we can assume that Saddam and others like him will "just go away peacefully." "Peace" is not part of their vocabulary. He killed how many Kurds? He killed how many of his own people? He hates the U.S.! Get a grip!!!!!!
I think as a nation each individual needs to assume more responsibility, instead of playing the blame game all of the time. I personally like President Bush very much. Although not perfect, and we obviously cannot expect that, unlike our sleazy former president, we have one with integrity and vision. Too bad Hollywood is so narrow minded and deficient in the areas of morals, integrity, patriotism, doing the right thing, etc.
As a "celebrity," you have a platform for influence. Too bad you can't just do the patriotic thing and support the President.
Sincerely,

just remember martin, you don't speak for the one million iraqis that have disappeared from the face of the earth, or the parents who watch their children being disembowled and/ or tortured to induce confessions. and you certainly don't speak for the families who are slaughtered because a member was found in violation of saddams rules. by the way, my sources are exiled members of saddams military and former scientists who have fled saddams butcherous regime. whats your source for what you believe and protest?? your gut feeling?? your kindness and compassion?? for who?? for yourself, thats who. please...don't flatter yourself.
i am looking forward to the time soon, when the attrocities are exposed in iraq, just as they were in nazi germany, and watch people like you silenced and shamefully embarrassed.

You should be ashamed of yourself. If you live in this country you should support our efforts to free people from dictators such as Saddam Hussein. Do you really believe you have better information than our government?? That is pretty arrogant! Maybe it is time you left the land of the free!

You people are hipocrites for protesting this war, you had just as soon fight with your local law enforcement than with a man who has weapon's of mass distruction and could wipe out your little hill up there in Hollywood. So why don't you get your list of boycott buddie's and just fly your butts over there and reason with Sadam see what he does to you! You are not American's you are scum!

Following is a copy of Mrs. Chapman's speech, which resulted in five standing ovations, tremendous applause and an encore. It's a short read and well worth it.
Stand Up for America Rally Speech - By: Beth Chapman
I'm here tonight because men and women of the United States military have given their lives for my freedom. I am not here tonight because Sheryl Crowe, Rosie O'Donnell, Martin Sheen, George Clooney, Jane Fonda or Phil Donahue, sacrificed their lives for me.
If my memory serves me correctly, it was not movie stars or musicians, but the United States Military who fought on the shores of Iwo Jima, the jungles of Vietnam, and the beaches of Normandy. Tonight, I say we should support the President of the United States and the U.S. Military and tell the liberal, tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing, hippy, tie-dyed liberals to go make their movies and music and whine somewhere else.
After all, if they lived in Iraq, they wouldn't be allowed the freedom of speech they're being given here today. Ironically, they would be put to death at the hands of Sadam Husssein or Osama Bin Laden. I want to know how the very people who are against war because of the loss of life, can possibly be the same people who are for abortion? They are the same people who are for animal rights but against the rights of the unborn. The movie stars say they want to go to Iraq and serve as "human shields" for the Iraqis. I say let them buy a one-way ticket and go.
No one likes war. I hate war! But the one thing I hate more is the fact that this country has been forced into war-innocent people have lost their lives - - and there but for the grace of God, it could have been my brother, my husband, or even worse my own son.
On December 7, 1941, there are no records of movie stars treading the blazing waters of Pearl Harbor.
On September 11, 2001; there are no photos of movie stars standing as "human shields" against the debris and falling bodies ascending from the WorldTrade Center. There were only policemen and firemen - underpaid civil servants who gave their all with nothing expected in return.
When the USS Cole was bombed, there were no movie stars guarding the ship - where were the human shields then?
If America's movie stars want to be human shields, let them shield the gang-ridden streets of Los Angeles, or New York City, let them shield the lives of the children of North Birmingham whose mothers lay them down to sleep on the floor each night to shelter them from stray bullets.
If they want to be human shields, I say let them shield the men and women of honesty and integrity that epitomizes courage and embody the spirit of freedom by wearing the proud uniforms of the United States Military. Those are the people who have earned and deserve shielding!
Throughout the course of history, this country has remained free, not because of movie stars and liberal activists, but because of brave men and women who hated war too. However, they lay down their lives so that we all may live in freedom. After all - "What greater love hath no man, that he lay down his life for his friend," or in this case a country.
We should give our military honor and acknowledgement and not let their lives be in vain. If you want to see true human shields, walk through Arlington Cemetery. There lie human shields, heroes, and the BRAVE Americans who didn't get on television and talk about being a human shield - they were human shields.
I thank God tonight for freedom - those who bought and paid for it with their lives in the past - those who will protect it in the present and defend it in the future.
America has remained silent too long! God-fearing people have remained silent too long!
We must lift our voices united in a humble prayer to God for guidance and the strength and courage to sustain us throughout whatever the future may hold.
After the tragic events of Sept. 11th, my then eleven -year-old son said terrorism is a war against them and us and if you're not one of us, then you're one of them.
So in closing tonight, let us be of one accord, let us stand proud, and let us be the human shields of prayer, encouragement and support for the President, our troops and their families and our country.
May God bless America, the land of the free, the home of the brave and the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

Then I see you on TV bearing a cross on your back with your mouth taped with duck tape. Amen. I am now praying that you will read your Bible and know what it really says. Jesus did not act the martyr putting a cross on his back and duck tape on his mouth. He suffered for us all on the cross. He paid the price for our sins.
Really read what the Bible says. I am praying Jesus will open your eyes and you will see the truth. believe that the people in Hollywood live in a make believe world not seeing the truth. The rest of us don't worry about being black balled from making movies or people watching us on TV so we can make lots of money. It is the furthest from our minds in a time like this.
Maybe you should be worried less about your status and think more about others suffering. The average american out here wants to see people free. When we hear about all the terrible things Saddam Hussien has done, killing and torturing his own people we know that is wrong. Our "real soldiers" are willing to lay down their very lives that others might be free. Take a moment and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands.
He stands barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war.
He stands tough, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this:
I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution, and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it.
I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains.
I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.
I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people.
It's the soldier - not the reporter - who gives you the freedom of the press.
It's the soldier - not the poet - who gives you the freedom of speech.
It's the soldier - not the campus organizer - who allows you to demonstrate.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag, that allows the protester to burn the flag!!!
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen. If you feel someone following it will be the Lord because I will be praying for you and your family.
I believe it has been the prayers of thousands of people in this country that has given us victory in Iraq. God does hear our prayers. If you do want to do something for those people pray God will protect and keep them safe.
