Meryl Streep - Gossip
Meryl Streep apparently had a very good time bringing Scott McPherson's Marvin's Room to the screen because she's now signed two more screen adaptations of plays. This summer, she begins filming the screen version of Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa, about an extended family of poor Irish women, and next summer, she'll join Glenn Close in an adaptation of Friedric von Schiller's 16th century royal drama Mary Stuart. Streep is also attached to the movie version of novelist Anna Quindlen's One True Thing, playing the mother of Renee Zellweger.

I am interested in learning if a rumor that I heard is correct....
Meryl Streep was first married to the actor that played the "weak" brother in the Godfather and also Al Pacino's partner in Dog Day Afternoon. I had heard that he had died at an early age, leaving Meryl a widow.
Is this true?

To answer B. Hapmpton's question, Meryl Streep lived with him and spent all her time with him while he was ill, but apparently was not married to him.
The name of the actor who was Meryl Streep's very-much loved soulmate was John Cazale. A sad story but Life is like that, isn't it?
